SOS Children’s Villages in Somaliland invites qualified and interested medical insurance companies to submit an Expression of Interest for providing medical insurance services to the organization’s employees and their registered dependents.

The purpose of this tender is to identify a suitable insurance provider capable of delivering quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective healthcare coverage that meets the medical needs of employees and their families. Interested providers are expected to demonstrate their capacity to administer medical insurance services and offer appropriate healthcare benefits at an affordable cost.

Key Responsibilities / Programme Activities

The selected medical insurance provider will be expected to:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient medical insurance coverage for SOS Children’s Villages in Somaliland employees and their agreed registered dependents.
• Cover dental, optical, and maternity services as specified in the agreed medical insurance package.
• Provide medical referral coverage to agreed regional and international countries.
• Ensure accessible and efficient administrative procedures for employees and their registered dependents when accessing healthcare services.
• Communicate all necessary information regarding insurance policies, coverage, and applicable procedures.
• Respond to insurance claims and other service-related requests within a reasonable timeframe.
• Provide orientation to the organization and its employees on accessing and using approved medical facilities and registered hospitals.
• Deliver services in accordance with the Terms of Reference and the final contract award document.

Eligibility Requirements

• The applicant must be a qualified and interested medical insurance company capable of providing the required medical insurance services.
• The company must be able to provide comprehensive medical coverage for employees and their agreed registered dependents.
• The applicant must be capable of meeting the service delivery, administrative, and coverage requirements outlined in the official Terms of Reference.
• Interested companies must submit technical and financial proposals together with the other required documents specified in the tender documentation.

Benefits and Support

The selected company will have the opportunity to enter into a contractual arrangement with SOS Children’s Villages in Somaliland to provide medical insurance services for the organization’s employees and their registered dependents.
